Dominican Sisters,
Associates, and Volunteers

Coriena & Christina use their feet to mix mud, used for for building a cob structure at Shepherd's Corner

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I –
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

- Robert Frost

Members of the Dominican Family are part of the diverse international Order of Preachers, which includes men and women from all walks of life and has existed for more than 800 years. Some make lifetime vows as religious Sisters or Brothers, some make shorter-term commitments as Associates, others serve as Dominican Volunteers for a year a more. All feel called to the Dominican "charism," or unique mission, of striving to preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus in word and deed. As Dominicans, we preach the Gospel with our very lives, in the tradition of St. Dominic and supported by our fellow Dominicans.
